We always like to go to the Poacher to eat. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The food tastes great and the portions are plentiful. If you can do without meat, you should definitely try the ricotta mulette, but if you want meat, then the delicious roast venison is particularly recommended. The corona protective measures are also implemented in the best possible way and sufficient distance is taken. There are also enough disinfectant dispensers in the restaurant and on the toilet and you are seated at your table when you enter.

According to the name, comfortably furnished restaurant with good German cuisine. The menu is manageable, but there is something for everyone. The food is tasty and the portions are plentiful. Always happy to eat there.

Fish was very good. Salad, spaetzle, french fries too. My game dish (deer and wild boar) was unfortunately not good or the meat was bland, especially the sauce, chanterelles: watered down and tasteless. My friend's venison dish tasted better, sauce a little better. Staff friendly and dismayed, apologized with a drink. Nicely prepared locally to match the name.

We went to the Poacher for dinner today. My wife had an onion roast, it was tender as butter and cooked to the point, as ordered Medium. I had the game plate with chanterelles and it was just delicious. The staff is friendly and courteous, the ambience rustic and beautiful.

Interior with tasteless poor stuffed animals. The cook is supposed to choose a different profession, what was on the table with us Kamm was an impertinence, wild plate with chanterelles without taste, hard, rubbery chanterelles I've never given.

The food was simply a disaster. Roast venison, as already mentioned, dry. But no wonder, unfortunately. The name Wild Dieb is misleading to be served fresh food. All slices exactly the same, I'm assuming convenience food. Sauce not good, also orange flavors which is out of place with a game meal. Service, however, tried very hard. That fits. But overall, as I said, not recommended. Pity!

Very middle-class, but well-attended inn. Nevertheless, the corona-related distances are maintained. Unfortunately you have to be there very early in the evening or make a reservation. The kitchen closes early. The service was good. Nice, brisk service. The menu is what you would expect for home-style cooking with an emphasis on game. Food is very good, if it could use a little more flair. But all in all pretty good.

The roast venison was totally dry and had no taste. The poacher plate was totally watery and the venison was totally tasteless as if it was only steamed. We have never had such bad game before. That was the one and last time.

Very tasty food, nice service, great atmosphere ... an all-round successful evening. We will be back.

The food was very tasty and came super quickly (felt under 10 minutes). The service was also very good and friendly. I also find the restaurant appealing (our dog also got a bowl of water). The only thing I can easily criticize is that the dishes are very little salted for me, but you can change that yourself. Gladly again.

We spent one night in one of the double rooms and loved it! TipTop clean and very lovingly and high quality. The boss and the staff welcomed us warmly. We ended the evening on the spacious balcony. Unfortunately we could not try the restaurant, it was just too warm to eat for dinner this evening.

Classic german food, as the name of the restaurant reveals with a variety on venison dishes. Friendly but a little kind of frowzy service. Good tasting and well cooked meat.

Cozy tavern in the heart of Bad Rappenau. We come regularly to be pampered by the excellent cuisine. The service is accommodating and very friendly. Reservation is an advantage, the restaurant is usually very busy.
